We are seeking a reliable and efficient Packer to join our warehouse operations team. The Packer will be responsible for preparing finished products for shipment by carefully packaging items according to company specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to maintain consistent quality in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting daily production targets.
Packer responsibilities include:
1. Carefully inspect products for defects or damage before packaging
2. Select appropriate packaging materials based on product size, weight, and fragility
3. Operate packaging equipment including tape machines, label printers, and shrink wrap systems
4. Accurately weigh packages and apply correct shipping labels
5. Maintain organized work station and manage packaging supply inventory
6. Meet daily packing quotas while maintaining quality standards
7. Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean work environment
8. Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment
9. Document packed items and report any inventory discrepancies
10. Assist in loading packaged products onto pallets or carts for transportation
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
2. Minimum 6 months experience in warehouse, packaging, or similar physical role
3. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
4. Basic math skills for counting and measuring products
5. Ability to stand for entire 8-10 hour shift
6. Attention to detail and quality focus
7. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
8. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
9. Willingness to work overtime as needed during peak seasons
Preferred Qualifications
1. 1+ years experience in packaging or shipping role
2. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems
3. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
4. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for warehouse environments
5. Experience with both manual and automated packaging systems
6. Previous experience in food, pharmaceutical, or fragile goods packaging
7. Ability to work effectively in team-based production environment
8. Flexibility to work different shifts including nights and weekends
