What is a Inventory Specialist?
An Inventory Specialist is a supply chain professional who oversees the tracking, management, and control of a company's inventory assets. They serve as the central point for maintaining accurate stock levels across warehouses, distribution centers, or retail locations. This role combines technical skills in inventory management systems with analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed recommendations about stock movement, storage optimization, and inventory reconciliation. The specialist acts as a critical link between procurement, sales, and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.
What does a Inventory Specialist do?
