1. Process customer transactions using POS systems including cash, credit, and debit payments
2. Handle returns and exchanges according to store policies
3. Maintain accurate cash drawer balance and complete end-of-shift reconciliation
4. Scan items and apply discounts or promotions accurately
5. Answer customer inquiries about products, prices, and store policies
6. Maintain checkout area cleanliness and organization
7. Bag merchandise carefully and assist customers with large purchases
8. Process gift card sales and reloads
9. Follow all security procedures to prevent theft
10. Assist with price checks and inventory management
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Basic math and computer skills
3. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
4. Excellent customer service orientation
5. Strong communication skills
6. Reliable attendance and punctuality
7. Ability to stand for extended periods
8. Attention to detail in transaction processing
9. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
