Production Planner responsibilities include:

1. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements 2. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for raw material availability 3. Analyze production data and capacity utilization to identify bottlenecks 4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality control, and logistics 5. Implement ERP system updates for production orders and material requirements 6. Generate daily/weekly production reports and performance metrics 7. Optimize production sequences to minimize changeover times and maximize efficiency 8. Resolve production scheduling conflicts and prioritize urgent orders

Must-Have Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field 2. 3+ years of production planning experience in manufacturing environment 3. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) 4. Strong understanding of MRP/CRP principles and lean manufacturing 5. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting 6. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities 7. Knowledge of inventory management and capacity planning 8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

1. APICS CPIM or similar certification 2. Experience with Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies 3. Background in automotive, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing 4. Experience with advanced planning systems (APS) or digital twin technology 5. Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards 6. Previous experience in unionized manufacturing environments 7. Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles 8. Experience with demand forecasting and S&OP processes
