We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers in the US automotive market.
Mechanic responsibilities include:
1. Perform diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues using computerized diagnostic equipment
2. Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
3. Repair and replace faulty parts such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
4. Perform complete vehicle inspections and provide accurate repair estimates
5. Maintain detailed records of all services performed and parts used
6. Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation
7. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
8. Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience
3. ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in at least two areas
4. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and automotive repair tools
5. Valid driver's license with clean driving record
6. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
7. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks
8. EPA 609 certification for refrigerant handling
Preferred Qualifications
1. Associate degree in Automotive Technology or related field
2. 5+ years of experience in automotive repair
3. Master ASE certification
4. Experience with European or luxury vehicle brands
5. Dealership experience
6. State inspection license
7. Experience with hybrid/electric vehicle systems
8. Background in customer service or service writing
