Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This position involves transporting goods across state lines, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, excellent driving skills, and commitment to maintaining vehicle condition.
Truck Driver responsibilities include:
1. Safely operate and maneuver tractor-trailer combinations in various weather and road conditions
2. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
3. Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation
4. Secure cargo properly using appropriate loading and strapping techniques
5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status
6. Adhere to strict delivery schedules while complying with hours-of-service regulations
7. Handle paperwork including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and vehicle maintenance reports
1. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
2. Minimum 2 years of over-the-road (OTR) driving experience
3. Current DOT medical certificate and compliance with all federal regulations
4. Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
5. Proficiency in operating 10-speed manual transmission vehicles
6. Strong knowledge of interstate transportation laws and weight restrictions
7. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading and securement of cargo
Preferred Qualifications
1. 3+ years of long-haul experience with verified safe driving history
2. Experience with refrigerated or hazardous materials transportation
3. Familiarity with routing software and electronic logging systems
4. Tanker or double/triple trailer endorsements
5. Previous experience with J.J. Keller or similar compliance systems
6. Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and basic vehicle repairs
7. Established positive relationships with major shipping customers

2. Experience operating specialized equipment (flatbeds, lowboys, etc.)
