Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role requires strategic leadership in transportation management, warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution network optimization to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions that meet business objectives and customer satisfaction metrics.

Logistics Manager responsibilities include:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to reduce transportation costs while maintaining service levels 2. Manage daily operations including freight forwarding, carrier selection, and route optimization 3. Oversee warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution center operations 4. Negotiate and manage contracts with 3PL providers, carriers, and logistics partners 5. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, customs requirements, and international trade compliance 6. Implement and optimize WMS and TMS systems to improve operational visibility 7. Lead cross-functional collaboration with procurement, sales, and customer service teams 8. Analyze logistics performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives 9. Manage logistics budget, cost tracking, and financial reporting 10. Develop risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions and contingency planning

Must-Have Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field 2. 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics management or supply chain operations 3. Proven expertise in transportation management (TL, LTL, intermodal) and carrier negotiations 4. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) 5. Experience with inventory management, demand planning, and distribution network design 6. Demonstrated ability to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service levels 7. Excellent knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements 8. Proficiency in logistics KPIs and performance metrics analysis 9. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional projects 10. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or MBA 2. APICS CSCP or CLTD certification 3. Experience in international logistics and cross-border transportation (NAFTA/USMCA) 4. Background in implementing lean logistics and Six Sigma methodologies 5. Experience with ERP systems integration (SAP, Oracle) 6. Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and compliance 7. Experience in temperature-controlled logistics and cold chain management 8. Background in e-commerce logistics and last-mile delivery solutions 9. Familiarity with customs brokerage and international trade compliance 10. Previous experience in managing logistics operations across multiple US regions
