We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to transport passengers and/or goods to various destinations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining vehicle safety standards, adhering to traffic regulations, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires punctuality, professionalism, and strong knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
Driver responsibilities include:
1. Safely operate and maintain company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies
2. Transport passengers or goods to designated locations following scheduled routes
3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
4. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption
5. Provide exceptional customer service and assist passengers with loading/unloading
6. Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues to management immediately
7. Handle cash transactions and maintain proper documentation for deliveries
8. Adapt routes based on traffic conditions and customer needs
1. Valid US driver's license with clean driving record
2. Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
3. DOT medical certificate (if required for vehicle class)
4. Clean background check and drug screening
5. Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
6. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks
7. Excellent time management and punctuality
8. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
1. CDL (Commercial Driver's License) certification
2. 3+ years of experience in similar driving role
3. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route optimization
4. Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
5. First Aid/CPR certification
6. Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English)
7. Experience with delivery management software
8. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
