We are seeking reliable and customer-focused Delivery Drivers to join our team. This position involves transporting goods from distribution centers to businesses and residential customers across the United States. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service standards and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Delivery Driver responsibilities include:
1. Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to specified locations
2. Load and unload packages efficiently while verifying order accuracy
3. Utilize GPS and routing software to optimize delivery routes
4. Collect payments and obtain customer signatures for delivered items
5. Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
6. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delivery status
7. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
8. Handle customer inquiries and resolve delivery issues promptly
1. Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record
2. Minimum 21 years of age (insurance requirement)
3. Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds regularly
4. Basic math skills for handling payments and documentation
5. Familiarity with using smartphone apps for navigation and tracking
6. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
7. High school diploma or GED equivalent
8. Successful completion of background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
1. 1+ years of professional delivery or driving experience
2. Experience with delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks up to 26ft)
3. Knowledge of local geographic areas and traffic patterns
4. DOT medical certification
5. Experience with customer service and cash handling
6. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
7. Previous experience with package scanning systems
8. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) in certain service areas
