Junior Legal Counsel responsibilities include:
1. Review and draft standard contracts, agreements, and legal documents under supervision
2. Conduct legal research and analysis on various regulatory and compliance matters
3. Assist in managing corporate governance documentation and entity maintenance
4. Support litigation matters by organizing documents and coordinating with external counsel
5. Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization's operations
6. Prepare legal memoranda, summaries, and reports for senior legal team members
7. Assist with compliance program implementation and monitoring activities
8. Manage and organize legal files, documentation, and matter tracking systems
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
2. Admission to at least one state bar (active and in good standing)
3. 0-2 years of relevant legal experience in corporate or law firm environment
4. Strong legal research and writing skills with attention to detail
5. Basic understanding of contract law and corporate legal principles
6. Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar)
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior internship or clinical experience in corporate law environment
2. Experience with contract management systems or legal technology platforms
3. Knowledge of specific industry regulations (healthcare, finance, technology, etc.)
4. Law review or moot court participation during law school
5. Basic understanding of compliance frameworks and risk assessment
6. Experience with e-discovery tools and litigation support software
7. Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred for US market)
8. Demonstrated pro bono or community legal service experience
