1. Provide legal advice and opinions to the Governor, state agencies, and legislature on constitutional and statutory matters
2. Represent the state in appellate cases before state and federal courts
3. Direct criminal investigations and prosecutions through the state Department of Justice
4. Enforce consumer protection laws and combat fraud against state residents
5. Oversee civil litigation involving the state government and its agencies
6. Manage the state's law enforcement training programs and standards
7. Administer victim compensation programs and victim services
8. Coordinate multi-jurisdictional task forces for complex criminal investigations
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
