Security Manager responsibilities include:
1. Develop and implement enterprise-wide security policies, procedures, and standards
2. Manage physical security systems including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems
3. Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
4. Lead incident response and crisis management operations
5. Oversee security personnel and contract security services
6. Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency response agencies
7. Manage security budget and resource allocation
8. Conduct security awareness training for employees
9. Investigate security breaches and implement corrective actions
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards
1. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field
2. 7+ years of progressive security management experience
3. Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification
4. Extensive knowledge of physical security systems and technologies
5. Proven experience in developing and implementing security protocols
6. Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies
7. Experience managing security teams and budgets
8. Excellent crisis management and decision-making skills
9. Thorough knowledge of industry security standards and regulations
10. Clean background check and ability to pass security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Security Management or Business Administration
2. Experience in corporate security management for Fortune 500 companies
3. ASIS International membership and active participation
4. Experience with cybersecurity integration and physical security convergence
5. Previous law enforcement or military security background
6. Knowledge of international security protocols and standards
7. Experience managing security for multiple locations across the US
8. Proficiency with security information management systems
9. Background in executive protection programs
10. Experience with security automation and AI-driven security solutions
