2. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
3. Investigate security breaches and implement incident response procedures
4. Analyze security logs and network traffic patterns to detect anomalies
5. Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, encryption, and access management
6. Develop and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
7. Conduct security awareness training for employees
8. Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
9. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are implemented
10. Stay current with emerging security threats and industry trends
1. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
2. 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or analysis
3. Proficiency with security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
4. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
5. Knowledge of common attack vectors and mitigation techniques
6. Experience with incident response procedures and digital forensics
7. Understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to obtain security clearance if required
10. Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or GSEC
