The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents in accordance with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
1. Implement and maintain security protocols, policies, and procedures
2. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
3. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats
4. Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic investigations
5. Install and configure security software and tools (firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS)
6. Perform security audits and risk assessments
7. Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA)
9. Manage access control systems and identity management solutions
10. Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies
1. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
2. 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience
3. CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification
4. Proficiency with security tools (SIEM, WAF, DLP, endpoint protection)
5. Strong knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure security
6. Experience with incident response and threat hunting
7. Understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP)
8. Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks
9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
10. US citizenship or permanent residency for clearance eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
2. 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience
3. GIAC, CEH, or OSCP certifications
4. Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
5. Background in penetration testing and ethical hacking
6. Familiarity with zero-trust architecture implementation
7. Previous government or financial sector security experience
8. Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
9. Experience with security automation and orchestration
