We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Administrator to oversee our corporate IT infrastructure and ensure optimal system performance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex technical environments, implement robust security measures, and provide technical leadership to junior team members. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration, system optimization, and cybersecurity protocols.
Senior IT Administrator responsibilities include:
1. Manage and maintain enterprise-level Windows/Linux server environments and network infrastructure
2. Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures including firewalls, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessments
3. Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) management and migration projects
4. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
5. Lead IT projects including system upgrades, deployments, and technology implementations
6. Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues
7. Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and enterprise authentication systems
8. Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies
9. Document IT processes, procedures, and system configurations
10. Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
2. 7+ years of progressive experience in IT administration roles
3. Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Active Directory
4. Strong networking skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN)
5. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
6. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
7. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
8. Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
9. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
10. Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Information Systems or related field
2. Industry certifications (MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, VCP)
3. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
4. Knowledge of Linux server administration
5. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
6. Project management experience or PMP certification
7. Experience in regulated industries ( healthcare, finance)
8. Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices
9. Experience with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf)
10. Budget management and vendor negotiation experience
