Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous QA Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing methodologies, identifying defects, and verifying that products meet established quality standards before release to production environments.
QA Tester responsibilities include:
1. Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios for functional, regression, and performance testing
2. Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA or similar bug tracking systems
3. Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes
4. Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications
5. Validate that software meets business requirements and user experience expectations
6. Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, cases, and reports
7. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups
1. 2+ years of professional QA testing experience in software development
2. Proven experience with test case development and defect tracking systems
3. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
4. Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches
5. Proficiency in writing SQL queries for database validation
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
7. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
2. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
3. Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript
4. Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools
5. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git)
6. ISTQB or similar QA certification
7. Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
Bonus Skills
1. Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
2. Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools
3. Mobile application testing experience on iOS and Android platforms
4. Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack)
5. Understanding of accessibility testing standards (WCAG)
6. Previous experience in test management tools like TestRail or qTest
7. Background in developing test automation frameworks from scratch
