QA Automation Engineer responsibilities include:
1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
2. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI for automated testing.
3. Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the Agile/Scrum process.
4. Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA or similar issue-tracking systems.
5. Perform regression, performance, and load testing to ensure application stability.
6. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders on quality metrics.
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in QA automation with proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
3. Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Playwright.
4. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
5. Experience with version control systems such as Git.
6. Ability to write clear, maintainable, and efficient test code.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
2. Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
3. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
4. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
5. Experience in testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
