Job Overview
The Product Owner will serve as the key stakeholder representative for our product development teams, responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and development execution. This role requires strong strategic thinking, market awareness, and the ability to translate customer needs into actionable user stories and requirements.
Product Owner responsibilities include:
1. Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and release plans to cross-functional teams
2. Create and maintain product backlog with clearly prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria
3. Lead sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings with development teams
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations
5. Make data-driven decisions using market analysis, customer feedback, and performance metrics
6. Ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
7. Monitor competitor products and market trends to maintain competitive advantage
8. Coordinate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly product experiences
9. Manage product budget and resource allocation for optimal ROI
10. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
2. 5+ years of experience as Product Owner or similar role in product management
3. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification
4. Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps)
5. Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
7. Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation
8. Demonstrated success in delivering products from concept to launch
9. Proficiency in product management tools (Aha!, Productboard, or similar)
10. US work authorization and ability to work in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Business Administration or Technology Management
2. Experience in SaaS or technology product development
3. Background in software development or technical architecture
4. Experience with A/B testing and product experimentation frameworks
5. Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and customer journey mapping
6. Previous experience in startup environments or scaling products
7. Familiarity with API integrations and cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure)
8. Experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo)
9. Background in financial services, healthcare, or regulated industries
10. Experience managing remote or distributed teams
