Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to design, implement, and maintain our corporate network infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise in network protocols, security practices, and system administration to ensure optimal network performance and reliability across our organization.
Network Administrator responsibilities include:
1. Configure and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
2. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using tools like Wireshark and SolarWinds
3. Implement and maintain network security measures including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
4. Manage IP addressing schemes and DNS/DHCP services
5. Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery operations
6. Document network configurations, changes, and procedures
7. Collaborate with IT team to implement network upgrades and new technologies
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
2. 3+ years of professional network administration experience
3. CCNA certification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge
4. Proficiency with TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and other networking protocols
5. Experience with Cisco IOS and network hardware configuration
6. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
7. Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
1. CCNP or higher Cisco certification
2. Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network)
3. Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts
4. Previous experience in enterprise-level network environments
5. Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Python scripting
6. Experience with VoIP systems and QoS implementation
Bonus Skills
1. CCIE certification
2. Experience with network performance optimization and capacity planning
3. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX)
4. Proficiency in network automation and orchestration tools
5. Experience with multi-data center network architecture
6. Previous leadership or mentoring experience in network teams
