This role requires both technical expertise in test automation and strong leadership capabilities to drive quality excellence across our software solutions.
Lead QA Engineer responsibilities include:
1. Develop and execute end-to-end test strategies for complex software systems
2. Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in test planning, automation, and execution
3. Design and implement automated testing frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools
4. Establish CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing and quality gates
5. Conduct performance, load, and security testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
6. Collaborate with development teams to implement shift-left testing practices
7. Create detailed test plans, test cases, and defect tracking reports
8. Perform root cause analysis of defects and implement preventive measures
9. Manage testing environments and coordinate with DevOps for environment setup
10. Report quality metrics and risk assessments to senior leadership
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
2. 7+ years of QA experience with 3+ years in a leadership role
3. Expert knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, TestNG)
4. Proficiency in programming languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript
5. Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI)
6. Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing methodologies
7. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
8. Proven track record of implementing QA processes in Agile/Scrum environments
9. Expertise in defect tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla)
10. Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
2. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) testing
3. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

5. ISTQB Advanced Level Certification
