This role provides technical assistance to end-users, manages hardware/software systems, and ensures the smooth operation of IT services across the company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology while supporting our US-based operations.
Junior IT Administrator responsibilities include:
1. Provide first-line technical support to end-users via help desk ticketing system, phone, and in-person
2. Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices
3. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
4. Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Office 365 environments
5. Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
6. Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
7. Assist with network infrastructure maintenance including switches, routers, and wireless access points
8. Support video conferencing systems and meeting room technology
9. Monitor system performance and respond to security alerts
10. Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
1. Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent technical certification)
2. 1-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration role
3. Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and macOS operating systems
4. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration and support
5. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent customer service and communication skills
8. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of computer equipment
9. US work authorization and ability to work onsite during business hours
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
2. CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification
3. Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks
4. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection solutions
5. Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
6. Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android) in enterprise environments
7. Previous experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government)
8. Understanding of ITIL framework and service management principles
