3. Oversee architecture decisions and ensure scalable, maintainable systems
4. Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and hiring plans
5. Drive agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives
6. Establish engineering metrics and performance indicators
7. Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders
8. Ensure security, reliability, and performance of production systems
9. Mentor and develop engineering leadership talent
10. Manage technical debt and platform modernization efforts
1. 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering leadership
2. Proven experience managing managers and leading multiple teams
3. Deep technical background in modern cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
4. Experience scaling engineering organizations from 20 to 100+ engineers
5. Strong background in agile methodologies and DevOps practices
6. Expertise in budget management and resource planning
7. Demonstrated success delivering complex, large-scale systems
8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
9. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in both startup and enterprise environments
2. Background in building platform engineering organizations
3. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization
4. Knowledge of machine learning/AI implementation strategies
5. Previous experience in technical due diligence for M&A activities
