Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between development and operations teams, automating processes and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security across our AWS environment.
DevOps Engineer responsibilities include:
1. Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
2. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools
3. Implement and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
4. Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes using Python, Bash, or Go
5. Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
6. Ensure system security through proper IAM policies, security groups, and compliance frameworks
7. Optimize system performance and manage costs through continuous monitoring and improvements
8. Collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps best practices and enable faster delivery
1. 3+ years of professional DevOps/SRE experience in production environments
2. Proficiency with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda)
3. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
4. Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
5. Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages
6. Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS)
7. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
8. Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
Preferred Qualifications
1. AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator)
2. Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS + Azure/GCP)
3. Knowledge of serverless architectures and implementation
4. Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
5. Background in software development or system administration
6. Experience with database administration and optimization
7. Knowledge of security compliance standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
8. Experience with incident management and on-call rotations
Bonus Skills
1. Contributions to open-source DevOps projects or tools
2. Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
3. Knowledge of GitOps methodologies and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
4. Experience with performance testing and optimization
5. Background in site reliability engineering principles
