Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement cutting-edge cloud solutions that drive our organization's digital transformation. This role requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, security, and architecture patterns to build scalable, reliable, and cost-effective systems that align with business objectives and industry best practices.

Cloud Architect responsibilities include:

1. Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP 2. Develop cloud migration strategies and lead the execution of on-premises to cloud transitions 3. Establish cloud governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance controls 4. Architect multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions with appropriate integration patterns 5. Optimize cloud spending through right-sizing, reserved instances, and cost management tools 6. Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions with appropriate RPO/RTO objectives 7. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) 8. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on cloud best practices

Must-Have Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field 2. 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture with proven track record of large-scale implementations 3. Professional-level certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP (Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.) 4. Deep expertise in cloud security, identity management, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) 5. Extensive experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates) 6. Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) 7. Proficiency in networking concepts (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, load balancing, DNS) 8. Experience with serverless architectures and microservices patterns

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's degree in Computer Science or related field 2. Multiple cloud platform certifications across AWS, Azure, and GCP 3. Experience with cloud migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, CloudEndure) 4. Background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation 5. Knowledge of cloud cost management tools and optimization strategies 6. Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government) 7. Previous consulting experience with Big 4 or cloud consulting firms 8. Public speaking experience at cloud conferences or meetups
