Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and reports, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and visualization tools to support our growing analytics needs.
BI (Business Intelligence) Developer responsibilities include:
1. Design and develop scalable data models and data warehousing solutions using SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar platforms
2. Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica
3. Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
4. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
5. Optimize database performance and query execution for large datasets
6. Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy
7. Maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries and process flows
8. Provide technical support and training to end-users on BI tools and reports
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
2. 3+ years of experience in BI development or data engineering
3. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
4. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or equivalent)
5. Strong expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik)
6. Experience with data modeling concepts and dimensional modeling
7. Understanding of data warehousing principles and architectures
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their BI services
2. Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and scripting
3. Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks)
4. Familiarity with agile development methodologies
5. Previous experience in specific industries such as finance, healthcare, or retail
6. Microsoft or Tableau certification
7. Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps)
