People Operations Specialist responsibilities include:

1. Administer end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding 2. Manage HRIS (Workday, ADP, or BambooHR) maintenance and data integrity audits 3. Process multi-state payroll and benefits administration across US jurisdictions 4. Ensure compliance with federal regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO) and state-specific employment laws 5. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs 6. Handle employee relations matters and conduct confidential investigations 7. Generate HR analytics and metrics reports for leadership decision-making 8. Manage leave administration and accommodation requests under US labor guidelines 9. Optimize HR processes through automation and technology solutions 10. Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures

Must-Have Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2. 3+ years of hands-on experience in HR operations or generalist role 3. Demonstrated expertise in US employment law compliance (multi-state experience preferred) 4. Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday, ADP Workforce Now, or similar platforms) 5. Strong knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration 6. Experience with employee data management and reporting analytics 7. Excellent understanding of HR process optimization and documentation 8. PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in tech or high-growth startup environments 2. Multi-state payroll and compliance experience (California, New York, Texas jurisdictions) 3. Workday or similar enterprise HRIS implementation experience 4. Background in HR project management and process improvement 5. Experience with HR analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) 6. Knowledge of international expansion considerations for US-based companies 7. Experience supporting organizations of 500+ employees

1. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) 2. Experience with HR automation tools (ServiceNow, Zapier, or similar) 3.
