Job Overview

The HRIS Analyst is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Human Resources Information Systems to support HR operations and data-driven decision-making. This role serves as the technical point-of-contact for HR systems, ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate will bridge HR functional needs with technical solutions while maintaining compliance with US labor laws and data privacy regulations.

HRIS Analyst responsibilities include:

1. Administer and maintain HRIS systems including user access, security roles, and system configurations 2. Develop and generate custom reports, dashboards, and analytics for HR metrics and business requirements 3. Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to HR team members and end-users 4. Manage data integrity through regular audits, validation processes, and cleanup activities 5. Coordinate system upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects 6. Document system processes, procedures, and configurations for knowledge management 7. Collaborate with IT, payroll, and other departments to ensure seamless data integration 8. Provide training and support to HR staff on system functionality and best practices

Must-Have Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, or related field 2. 3+ years of hands-on HRIS experience with systems like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM 3. Strong proficiency in HRIS reporting tools and data analysis techniques 4. Experience with system implementations, upgrades, and configuration changes 5. Knowledge of HR processes including payroll, benefits, compensation, and talent management 6. Understanding of US data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and HR compliance requirements 7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 8. Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

1. Workday Certified Professional or similar HRIS certification 2. Experience with HR analytics and workforce planning tools 3. Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation 4. Experience with integration tools and API management 5. Previous experience in multi-state US operations with complex compliance requirements 6. Project management experience with HR technology implementations 7. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization

1. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems integration 2. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other advanced data visualization tools 3. Understanding of machine learning applications in HR analytics 4. Experience with compliance reporting for EEO-1, VETS-4212, and other federal requirements 5. Multi-language system support experience 6. Background in change management and user adoption strategies 7. Experience with document management systems and electronic employee files
