HR Consultant responsibilities include:
1. Conduct comprehensive HR audits and assessments to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
2. Develop and implement customized HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
3. Provide expert guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management
4. Design and deliver training programs on HR topics including diversity, leadership development, and compliance
5. Advise on talent acquisition strategies, compensation structures, and benefits administration
6. Analyze HR metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for organizational improvement
7. Manage organizational change initiatives and workforce restructuring projects
8. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA)
9. Develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies
10. Provide crisis management support for sensitive HR situations and investigations
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
2. 5+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in consulting or advisory role
3. PHR or SPHR certification from HRCI
4. Expert knowledge of US employment laws and regulations (federal and multi-state)
5. Proven experience in HR policy development and implementation
6. Strong analytical skills with experience in HR metrics and data analysis
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills
8. Demonstrated experience in employee relations and conflict resolution
9. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
10. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA with HR concentration
2. SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification
3. Experience working with multiple industries and organizational sizes
4. Background in organizational development and change management
5. Experience with HR technology implementation and optimization
6. Knowledge of compensation analysis and benefits administration
7. Experience in workforce planning and talent management strategies
8. Previous consulting experience with Fortune 500 companies
9. Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
10. Experience with HR analytics and predictive modeling tools
