The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees, ensuring compliance with US employment laws while fostering a positive work environment.
HR Advisor responsibilities include:
1. Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee development
2. Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations issues and recommend appropriate resolutions
3. Partner with business leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives
4. Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop actionable insights for improving employee engagement and retention
5. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues in compliance with federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII)
6. Support talent acquisition efforts by participating in interviews and providing hiring recommendations
7. Implement and communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure consistent application across the organization
8. Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation sessions between employees and managers
9. Coordinate with compensation team to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices
10. Develop and deliver HR training programs for managers on various employment topics
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
2. 3+ years of progressive HR generalist experience in US-based organizations
3. Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
4. Proven experience handling complex employee relations investigations
5. Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization
6. Strong analytical skills with experience in HR metrics and data analysis
7. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
8. Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar)
9. PHR or SHRM-CP certification
10. Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA
2. Experience in multiple HR disciplines (compensation, talent acquisition, organizational development)
3. SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
4. Experience with union avoidance and labor relations
5. Background in change management and organizational transformation
6. Experience in specific industries such as technology, healthcare, or manufacturing
