Benefits Administrator responsibilities include:
1. Administer all employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans
2. Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and timely
3. Conduct benefits orientations and educate employees on available benefits options
4. Coordinate with benefits brokers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure service quality
5. Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other federal/state regulations
6. Manage annual open enrollment process including communication materials and system updates
7. Process monthly billing and reconcile benefits invoices for accuracy
8. Maintain employee benefits records in HRIS and ensure data integrity
9. Assist with benefits audits and prepare required reports and documentation
10. Stay current with benefits trends and regulatory changes affecting benefits administration
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
2. 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or human resources
3. Thorough knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, and other benefits regulations
4. Experience with benefits administration systems and HRIS platforms
5. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
8. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
1. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification
2. Experience with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM
3. Knowledge of retirement plan administration (401k, 403b)
4. Experience with benefits in multi-state environments
5. Previous experience in benefits vendor management
6. Strong project management skills for open enrollment processes
7. Experience with benefits compliance reporting and audits

1. Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation
