1. Provide prompt, courteous table service including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and clearing tables
2. Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to make recommendations
3. Process payments using POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
4. Set up and break down dining areas according to establishment standards
5. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and address special requests
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
7. Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when necessary
1. Minimum 1 year of experience in food service or customer-facing role
2. Valid food handler's certification (ServSafe or equivalent)
3. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
4. Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
5. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
6. Professional appearance and demeanor
7. Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
1. 2+ years of experience in full-service restaurant environment
2. Wine and cocktail knowledge or willingness to obtain certification
3. Experience with Toast, Square, or other modern POS systems
4. Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food allergies
5. Previous fine dining or upscale casual restaurant experience
6. Bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred in most US markets)
7. TIPS certification for alcohol service
