Job Overview

The Porter plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in ensuring our environment meets the highest standards of presentation and functionality for both staff and visitors.

Porter responsibilities include:

1. Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms 2. Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from designated areas throughout the facility 3. Conduct regular floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and occasional buffing or stripping 4. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment 5. Assist with basic maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs and minor repairs 6. Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to management 7. Set up and break down rooms for meetings, events, and special functions 8. Maintain exterior areas including sidewalk sweeping and light snow removal

Must-Have Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent 2. Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial cleaning or facility maintenance 3. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly 4. Knowledge of proper chemical handling and safety procedures 5. Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed 6. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance record 7. Basic understanding of English for following safety instructions and communicating with team members

Preferred Qualifications
