Event Planner responsibilities include:
1. Conduct comprehensive client consultations to understand event objectives, themes, and budget parameters
2. Develop detailed event proposals, timelines, and production schedules
3. Source and negotiate with vendors including venues, caterers, AV technicians, and decor suppliers
4. Manage event budgets ranging from $10,000 to $500,000+ with precise cost tracking
5. Coordinate all event logistics including registration, transportation, and accommodation
6. Execute on-site event management with crisis resolution capabilities
7. Conduct post-event analysis and ROI reporting for clients
8. Maintain relationships with 50+ vendor partners across the events industry
9. Stay current with event technology trends including virtual/hybrid event platforms
1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or related field
2. Minimum 3 years of professional event planning experience
3. Proven track record of managing 15+ events annually
4. Expertise in budget management and financial reconciliation
5. Proficiency with event management software (CVENT, Eventbrite, or similar)
6. Exceptional communication and client presentation skills
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
8. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications
1. CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification
2. Experience with corporate events exceeding 500 attendees
3. Background in luxury hotel or venue event operations
4. Knowledge of sustainable event practices and certifications
5. Experience with destination events across multiple states
6. Existing vendor relationships in major metropolitan areas
7. Multilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
8. Experience with trade shows and exhibition planning
