Travel Nurse responsibilities include:
1. Provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care across various clinical settings
2. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to facility protocols and state regulations
3. Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech)
4. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
5. Respond to medical emergencies and rapid response situations with appropriate clinical interventions
6. Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge planning
7. Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and facility-specific protocols
8. Adapt quickly to different hospital policies, equipment, and documentation systems across assignments
1. Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in home state with multistate compact privilege or ability to obtain state-specific licenses
2. Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience in designated specialty (ICU, ER, Med-Surg, OR, L&D)
3. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, or other specialty-specific certifications as required
4. Clinical competency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication administration, and patient assessment
5. Ability to pass comprehensive background checks and drug screening
6. Willingness to commit to 8-13 week assignments with potential for extension
7. Flexibility to work day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with multiple EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner, Meditech)
2. Previous travel nursing experience or agency staffing experience
3. Specialty certifications (CCRN, CEN, ONC, or CMSRN)
4. Experience working in Level I or II trauma centers or teaching hospitals
5. BSN degree from accredited nursing program
6. Experience with travel nursing housing and logistics management
7. Strong references from previous travel assignments or permanent positions

1. Experience with high-acuity specialties: CVICU, Neuro ICU, Pediatric ICU, or NICU
2. Proficiency in multiple clinical skills: ventilators, telemetry, wound care, or chemotherapy
3. Multi-state licensure compact privilege with existing licenses

5. Previous experience in crisis standards of care or disaster response
