Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures 4. Maintain sterile field throughout operations 5. Handle and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis 6. Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery 7. Operate and maintain specialized equipment including suction machines, diagnostic equipment, and sterilizers 8. Assist in patient positioning, draping, and preparation of surgical site 9. Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment 10. Clean and restock operating rooms between procedures

Must-Have Requirements

1. Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program 2. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification 3. Minimum 2 years of experience in operating room environment 4. Comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation 5. Proficiency in sterile processing and aseptic techniques 6. Understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology 7. Ability to stand for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts) 8. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities 9. Valid certification as CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) 10. Familiarity with FDA and OSHA regulations for surgical settings

Preferred Qualifications

1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surgical Technology 2. Experience in multiple surgical specialties (orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurosurgery) 3. Current certification as TS-C (Tech in Surgery-Certified) 4. Experience with robotic-assisted surgery equipment 5. Previous employment in Level I trauma center or teaching hospital 6. Knowledge of Epic or Cerner electronic health record systems 7. Bilingual skills (Spanish-English) for patient communication 8. Membership in AST (Association of Surgical Technologists) 9. Experience with inventory management systems 10. Background in minimally invasive surgical procedures
