Seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a fast-paced medical imaging environment. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient interaction skills in accordance with American healthcare standards.

Sonographer responsibilities include:

1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, and other specialized scans 2. Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images for diagnostic interpretation 3. Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification and documentation 4. Maintain patient records and adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality 5. Prepare patients for procedures and explain examination process 6. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide preliminary findings 7. Follow established protocols and quality assurance standards 8. Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel 9. Assist in training new staff and students when required 10. Participate in continuing education to stay current with ultrasound technology advancements

Must-Have Requirements

1. ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification 2. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic medical sonography 3. Proficiency in abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound procedures 4. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association 5. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography 6. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology 7. Ability to lift and move patients following proper body mechanics 8. Excellent communication and patient care skills 9. Understanding of OSHA safety standards and infection control protocols 10. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field 2. 3+ years of experience in hospital or clinical setting 3. Multiple ARDMS certifications (Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular) 4. Experience with PACS systems and electronic medical records 5. Previous work in specialized areas such as echocardiography or breast ultrasound 6. Membership in professional organizations (SDMS, AIUM) 7. Experience with contrast-enhanced ultrasound procedures 8. Knowledge of accreditation standards (ACR, AIUM) 9. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) for diverse patient populations 10. Experience with quality assurance and protocol development

Bonus Skills

1. RDMS certification in multiple specialties 2. Experience with 3D/4D ultrasound technology 3. Proficiency in elastography and contrast-enhanced ultrasound 4.
