We are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients across diverse clinical settings. The ideal candidate will diagnose, treat, and prevent mental health disorders through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning. This role requires expertise in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy techniques, and crisis intervention while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and ethical practice.
Psychiatrist responsibilities include:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments using DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including psychopharmacotherapy
3. Provide psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy)
4. Manage medication regimens including prescription, monitoring, and adjustment of psychotropic medications
5. Perform risk assessments and implement crisis intervention strategies for suicidal or violent patients
6. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and primary care physicians
8. Provide court testimony and forensic psychiatric evaluations when required
9. Conduct capacity assessments and make determinations regarding involuntary hospitalization
10. Supervise psychiatric residents and medical students in clinical settings
1. Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from accredited institution
2. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
3. Valid state medical license with DEA registration for controlled substances
4. Completion of ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program (4 years)
5. Minimum 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in psychiatric practice
6. Proficiency in DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and clinical assessment tools
7. Extensive knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication management protocols
8. Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
9. Current BLS and ACLS certifications
10. Clean malpractice insurance history with no disciplinary actions
Preferred Qualifications
1. Fellowship training in subspecialty (Child/Adolescent, Geriatric, Addiction, or Forensic Psychiatry)
2. Experience working in academic medical centers or teaching hospitals
3. Proficiency in multiple psychotherapy modalities (CBT, DBT, IPT, or psychodynamic therapy)
4. Experience with telepsychiatry platforms and remote patient care
5. Previous work in community mental health or public health settings
6. Research experience with publications in peer-reviewed psychiatric journals
7. Experience with integrated care models and collaborative treatment approaches
8. Bilingual proficiency (Spanish, Mandarin, or other commonly spoken languages in service area)
9. Experience with quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcome measurements
10. Previous leadership roles in psychiatric departments or clinical programs
