1. Monitor and document patient behavior, symptoms, and progress according to established protocols 2. Implement and assist with therapeutic interventions and treatment plans 3. Conduct safety checks and maintain a secure environment for patients and staff 4. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility 5. Administer medications under the direction of physicians or registered nurses 6. Facilitate group therapy sessions and recreational activities 7. Respond to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and approved restraint protocols 8. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation 9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers 10. Transport patients to appointments and therapeutic activities as needed

Must-Have Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent 2. State certification as Psychiatric Technician (where required) 3. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 4. Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral health setting 5. Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities 6. Ability to perform physical restraints and crisis intervention techniques 7. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality 8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record 9. Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

1. Associate's degree in Mental Health Technology or related field 2. 2+ years experience in acute psychiatric care setting 3. Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) 4. Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner) 5. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) 6. Experience working with specific populations (geriatric, adolescent, or forensic) 7. Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and diagnostic procedures 8. Previous experience in medication administration and management
