Pediatrician responsibilities include:
1. Conduct routine well-child examinations and developmental screenings
2. Diagnose and treat childhood illnesses, injuries, and infections
3. Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care guidance
4. Monitor growth and development milestones from birth through adolescence
5. Manage chronic childhood conditions (asthma, diabetes, allergies)
6. Provide urgent care for acute pediatric emergencies
7. Document patient care using EHR systems and maintain accurate medical records
8. Collaborate with pediatric specialists, nurses, and healthcare staff
9. Educate parents on nutrition, safety, and healthy lifestyle practices
10. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours patient concerns
1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
2. Board certification in Pediatrics from ABP (American Board of Pediatrics)
3. Valid state medical license with DEA certification
4. Completion of 3-year ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program
5. Current BLS and PALS certifications
6. 2+ years of clinical pediatric experience post-residency
7. Proficiency with electronic health record systems
8. Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
9. Excellent communication skills with children and parents
10. Clean malpractice history and active medical insurance
