We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our dynamic dental practice in the United States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities to create properly aligned teeth and jaws. This role requires expertise in developing customized treatment plans using various orthodontic appliances and technologies to help patients achieve optimal oral health and aesthetic results.
Orthodontist responsibilities include:
1. Conduct comprehensive orthodontic evaluations and diagnoses using digital imaging, X-rays, and clinical examinations
2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for malocclusions, crowded teeth, overbites, underbites, and other dental irregularities
3. Fit, adjust, and maintain various orthodontic appliances including traditional braces, clear aligners (Invisalign), retainers, and palatal expanders
4. Monitor patient progress through regular appointments and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
5. Collaborate with general dentists, oral surgeons, and other dental specialists for comprehensive patient care
6. Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and American Dental Association guidelines
7. Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene practices during orthodontic treatment
8. Stay current with advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques through continuing education
1. DDS or DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental school
2. Completion of an ADA-accredited orthodontic residency program
3. Valid state license to practice orthodontics in the United States
4. Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Orthodontics
5. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in orthodontic practice
6. Proficiency in digital orthodontic technologies and CAD/CAM systems
7. Comprehensive knowledge of biomechanics and orthodontic treatment planning
8. Excellent manual dexterity and spatial awareness for precise appliance placement
Preferred Qualifications
1. 5+ years of clinical orthodontic experience in private practice setting
2. Extensive experience with Invisalign treatment (Provider Level II or higher)
3. Experience with cone-beam CT technology and 3D treatment planning software
4. Previous experience in a multi-specialty dental practice environment
5. Demonstrated success in managing complex orthodontic cases including surgical orthodontics
6. Active participation in professional organizations (AAO, ADA)
7. Experience with practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
8. Strong track record of patient satisfaction and case completion rates

1. Certification in clear aligner therapy beyond Invisalign (Spark, SureSmile, etc.)
2. Experience with temporary anchorage devices (TADs) and mini-implants
3. Proficiency in digital smile design and interdisciplinary treatment planning

5. Experience with accelerated orthodontic treatment techniques (Propel, AcceleDent)
6. Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred) for diverse patient communication
