2. Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
3. Turn, reposition, and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
4. Document patient information and care provided in electronic health records (EHR) systems
5. Respond to patient call lights and address patient needs promptly
6. Collect specimens for laboratory testing and perform basic bedside testing
7. Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and emergency situations
8. Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and nursing station areas
9. Monitor and report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff
10. Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient safety standards
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2. State-certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
3. Current CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
4. Minimum 6 months of direct patient care experience in healthcare setting
5. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient care procedures
6. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, and walking
7. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
8. Valid documentation to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
1. 1+ years of experience in hospital or acute care setting
2. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner
3. Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or EKG technician
4. Experience working with specific patient populations (geriatric, pediatric, or critical care)
5. Bilingual skills in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the service area
6. Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
7. Knowledge of specific state healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
