Nurse Practitioner responsibilities include:
1. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
2. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
3. Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases
4. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
5. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations
6. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies
7. Provide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options
8. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
9. Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records
10. Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, and biopsies
1. Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
2. Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP)
3. Active state NP license with prescriptive authority
4. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
5. Current DEA registration and state-controlled substance license
6. BLS and ACLS certification
7. Strong knowledge of medical ethics and HIPAA regulations
8. Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
9. Proficiency with electronic health record systems
10. Valid US work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
1. 3+ years of experience in primary care, urgent care, or specialty practice
2. Experience with telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring
3. Previous work in diverse healthcare settings (hospital, clinic, private practice)
4. Specialized certification in family practice, adult-gerontology, or acute care
5. Experience with population health management and value-based care models
6. Proficiency in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the service area
7. Experience with chronic care management and care coordination
8. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and reimbursement processes
9. Previous experience in precepting NP students or mentoring new graduates
10. Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and clinical metrics tracking
