Nurse Anesthetist responsibilities include:

1. Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans 2. Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia using advanced techniques and equipment 3. Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels during procedures 4. Manage patients' airway and pulmonary status using advanced airway techniques 5. Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management services 6. Respond to emergency situations using ACLS and PALS protocols 7. Document anesthesia care accurately in electronic medical records (EPIC, Cerner) 8. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes 9. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations in clinical practice

Must-Have Requirements

1. Current CRNA certification from NBCRNA 2. Valid RN license and APRN authorization in state of practice 3. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from accredited program 4. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in diverse surgical cases 5. Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications 6. Proficiency in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques 7. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and physiology related to anesthesia practice 8. Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and call coverage

Preferred Qualifications

1. Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Nurse Anesthesia 2. 3+ years of experience in Level I trauma center or academic medical center 3. Experience with cardiac, neurosurgical, or pediatric anesthesia cases 4. Previous experience in teaching or precepting student nurse anesthetists 5. Familiarity with anesthesia information management systems (AIMS) 6. Experience in pain management clinic or chronic pain services 7. Membership in professional organizations (AANA, state nurse anesthetist association)

Bonus Skills

1. Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) 2. Certification in specialized anesthesia techniques (difficult airway, regional) 3. Published research in anesthesia journals or conference presentations 4. Quality improvement or patient safety project leadership experience 5. Military anesthesia experience or VA hospital background 6. Multilingual abilities (Spanish medical terminology preferred) 7. Experience with opioid-sparing anesthesia techniques and enhanced recovery protocols
