Mental Health Therapist responsibilities include:
1. Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5/ICD-10 criteria
2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans with measurable objectives
3. Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.)
4. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
5. Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and community resources for coordinated care
6. Implement crisis intervention strategies and conduct suicide risk assessments when necessary
7. Participate in clinical supervision and continuing education to maintain licensure requirements
1. Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution
2. Current state licensure as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent clinical license
3. Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health treatment
4. Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
5. Demonstrated experience with diagnostic assessment and treatment planning
6. Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and confidentiality requirements (HIPAA compliance)
7. Malpractice insurance coverage
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with electronic health record systems (TherapyNotes, SimplePractice, or similar)
2. Specialized training in trauma therapy (EMDR, TF-CBT, or similar certifications)
