This position requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to develop effective treatment plans in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines and state regulations.
Dentist responsibilities include:
1. Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
2. Administer routine dental procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, and root canals
3. Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal treatments
4. Manage dental emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
5. Maintain accurate electronic health records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software
6. Supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants in clinical procedures
7. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and infection control protocols
8. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
9. Manage patient treatment plans and follow-up care
10. Collaborate with dental specialists for complex case management
1. DDS or DMD degree from an ADA-accredited dental school
2. Valid state dental license in good standing
3. Current DEA registration for controlled substances
4. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
5. Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral photography
6. Strong diagnostic and treatment planning capabilities
7. Excellent manual dexterity and surgical skills
8. CPR and BLS certification
9. Familiarity with electronic health records systems
10. Strong communication and patient management skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. 5+ years of experience in private practice or group dental setting
2. Experience with CAD/CAM technology (CEREC preferred)
3. Proficiency in implant placement and restoration
4. Invisalign certification or orthodontic experience
5. Experience with laser dentistry procedures
6. Membership in American Dental Association (ADA)
7. Experience managing dental insurance claims and pre-authorizations
8. Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)
9. Experience with sedation dentistry
10. Previous experience in mentoring dental students or new graduates
