Beautician responsibilities include:
1. Perform hair cutting, styling, coloring, and chemical treatments using industry-standard techniques
2. Conduct facials, waxing, eyebrow shaping, and basic skincare services
3. Provide manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements following state sanitation protocols
4. Conduct client consultations to assess needs and recommend appropriate services and products
5. Maintain detailed client records and preferences using salon management software
6. Process payments and schedule follow-up appointments using POS systems
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station and tools according to state board regulations
8. Achieve monthly retail product sales targets and service revenue goals
1. Valid state cosmetology or esthetician license
2. Minimum 2 years of professional salon experience
3. Proficiency in hair coloring techniques including balayage, ombre, and corrective color
4. Extensive knowledge of skincare products and treatment protocols
5. Strong customer service and client retention skills
6. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand movements
7. Familiarity with state board sanitation requirements and OSHA standards
8. High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with luxury product lines (Oribe, Kerastase, or Dermalogica)
2. Specialized training in Brazilian blowouts or keratin treatments
3. Background in bridal or special occasion styling
4. Knowledge of current social media trends and digital portfolio management
5. Previous experience in high-volume salon environments
6. Additional certifications in lash extensions or microblading
7. Bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred)
8. Associate's degree in cosmetology or related field
