1. Build and maintain complex financial models including LBO models, discounted cash flow analysis, and merger consequences
2. Conduct comprehensive industry research and competitive analysis across target sectors
3. Perform detailed due diligence on potential investment opportunities including financial, commercial, and operational aspects
4. Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentation materials for senior leadership
5. Monitor and support portfolio companies through performance tracking and strategic initiatives
6. Develop investment theses and valuation analyses for potential acquisitions
7. Coordinate with legal, accounting, and consulting firms during due diligence processes
8. Create and maintain comparable company analysis and precedent transaction analysis
1. 2-4 years of investment banking experience at a bulge bracket or elite boutique bank
2. Exceptional financial modeling skills with expertise in LBO modeling and valuation techniques
3. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field from a top-tier university
4. Series 79 and Series 63 certifications (or ability to obtain within first 90 days)
5. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Capital IQ
6. Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles
7. Experience conducting comprehensive company and industry research
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for investment committee materials
Preferred Qualifications
1. MBA from a top-tier business school
2. Prior private equity experience through internships or full-time role
3. Experience in specific sectors such as technology, healthcare, or industrial services
4. CFA designation or progress toward certification
