Investment Analyst responsibilities include:
1. Perform fundamental analysis on equities, fixed income securities, and alternative investments
2. Develop and maintain detailed financial models using Excel and specialized software
3. Conduct industry research and competitive analysis across various sectors
4. Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to senior portfolio managers
5. Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics using Bloomberg Terminal and FactSet
6. Analyze company financial statements, SEC filings, and earnings call transcripts
7. Track macroeconomic indicators and Federal Reserve policy impacts
8. Assist in due diligence processes for potential investments
9. Maintain databases of investment research and market intelligence
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field
2. 2+ years of experience in investment analysis or related financial role
3. Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions)
4. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, and data visualization
5. Strong understanding of US financial markets and securities regulations
6. Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, or similar market data platforms
7. CFA Level I passed or in progress
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. MBA or Master's in Finance from accredited US institution
2. CFA charterholder or advanced progress in CFA program
3. Experience in specific sector coverage (technology, healthcare, energy, or financial services)
4. Previous experience at asset management firm, hedge fund, or investment bank
5. Knowledge of Python, R, or SQL for financial data analysis
6. Experience with portfolio management software and risk analytics tools
