Director of Finance responsibilities include:
1. Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals.
2. Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
3. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
4. Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
5. Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
6. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
7. Develop and monitor business performance metrics and KPIs.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Lead and develop the finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification.
3. 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
4. 5+ years in a senior financial management role.
5. Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
6. Proven experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills.
8. Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
