Overnight Stocker responsibilities include:
1. Unload merchandise from delivery trucks and verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders
2. Organize and stock products on shelves according to store planogram and category placement
3. Maintain clean and organized backroom storage areas with proper product rotation (FIFO)
4. Execute inventory replenishment cycles using handheld scanners and inventory management systems
5. Perform price changes, markdowns, and promotional signage updates as directed
6. Conduct regular cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies to management
7. Follow all safety protocols for equipment operation including pallet jacks and ladder use
8. Prepare the sales floor for daily opening by ensuring fully stocked shelves and clean aisles
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
2. Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
3. Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification
4. Availability to work overnight shifts (typically 10pm-6am)
5. Reliable transportation for non-peak hour commuting
6. Understanding of retail safety procedures and compliance standards
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
1. 6+ months experience in retail stocking or warehouse operations
2. Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar WMS)
3. Familiarity with retail planogram execution and merchandising standards
4. Previous experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other stockroom equipment
5. Knowledge of grocery/retail product categories and organization methods
6. Certification in forklift operation (where applicable)
7. Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) in diverse market areas
